APPLICATION & REQUIREMENTS

How to Apply for an Employer Identification Number (EIN)

Fill out the downloadable form below and bring ALL the necessary documents.

Every employer or self-employed worker doing business in the Marshall Islands should apply for an EIN before the start of its business operation.

  • Copy of valid passport
  • Photo ID of the owner
  • Detailed sketch of business/office location
  • Corporate charter, if applicant is a corporation
  • Foreign Investment Business License (FIBL), if applicant is a foreigner
  • Copy of latest Gross Receipts Tax (GRY return, if applicant has paid already
  • Payment of application fee: $20 if corporation; $10 if government/private; and $5 if domestic/self-employes

Please be informed that our current fees for the employer identicication number (EIN) have been amended. MISSA will start implementing the new fees effective March 1st 2018.

  1. Sole proprietor application ($50)
  2. Corporate and other associations ($100)
  3. Non-resident domestic entities ($200)
